Ashwamedh rocks ISBM and Mumbai!!

Opening for Javed Ali at ISBM, Ashwamedh put forth one hell of a blitzkrieg performance to say the least! A fantastic 30 foot stage, super psychedelic lights and pyros was all the boys needed to unleash the beasts hiding beneath the calm exteriors.

An expected footfall of 1500 made sure there would be ample of rock hungry fans by the end of the show... and thats exactly what happened.

Starting out with the sound check after a short press conference at VITS Hotel, we had Denzel (One of Pune's best sound engineers) at the console. Needless to say, the sound... both on and off the stage was superb.
As the evening slowly set in amongst the valleys of Lavale, the lights grew on the crowd and the stage looked awe inspiring... Ashwamedh played mostly an all original setlist with people simply going berserk over 3 Quarter Ek Pint, Elaan and Ode to my Motherland.

'Ode' as always made the crowd plummet into shivers with goosebumps and with a mixed feeling of patriotism, passion and sheer love for our Motherland INDIA!! The 2:15 min guitar solo simply made the crowd go into orgasmic raptures... wanting more!

The best part was when we were told by our Online Promo team that fans had already started pouring in by the time we got off stage :-D

A week later, it was time for Ashwamedh to make a mark on Mumbai. It was Ashwamedh's first gig in Mumbai and alot was at stake. Litle did Mumbai anticipate what was in store...

With faith in their music, themselves and the Almighty above, Ashwamedh knew they had a job cut out for them and they did exactly that. Enthralling an audience of close to 700 was otherwise an everyday affair, but this was different... this was Mumbai a place known for its ruthless crowd, who could trash a band within minutes or worship it till death!

'Pehchaan' set the ball rolling and there was no looking back from there... song after song the response just kept getting bigger :-)

By the time 'Elaan' started playing the crowd formed a mosh pit right in front of the stage!! Boy... this was one hell of a sight \m/

Time constraints caused the band to stop playing, but the crowds were just not satisfied... Ashwamedh left the stage with a promise... A promise to return to Mumbai and rock the living shit out of the crowds... a promise we would love to fulfill :-)

Big THANKS to all the fan pouring in on the fan page...Mumbai we simply loved you... words are not enough to explain our sentiments for you!

Till the next time...

Keep rocking and supporting us like you have always done :-) \m/

Girls at the Cummins College of Engineering... You simply rock!!!

With some fantastic gigs at SITM, SCIT and Doolally breweries, behind them, Ashwamedh played for the beautiful girls of Cummins College of Engineering on 10th February 2010, for their fest Gandhaar '10.

Never had we even imagined that the response would be so overwhelming!! The cheers are probably still ringing in our ears :-) Right from the word go, the atmosphere was electric to say the least. It was a crowd of 300-350 but sounded like a thousand :-0
The screams are still ringing in our ears... and we sure dont want to get rid of it :-P

Ashwamedh played a very well received mix of covers and originals in their 2 hour long setlist. The highlight of the show being the "Sutta na mila" song... watching all the chicks shout BCs and MCs was surely heart warming :-P

Nitin surely has become the heart throb of Cummins College, and I am sure he is gonna get mobbed if he ventures anywhere near that college again :-). His drum solo just made the crowd go berserk!!

Well honestly, it was a tad difficult to concentrate on the playing with all you fantastic ladies passing those killer smiles \m/.

All that said... we just know one thing... The girls at Cummins College...

\m/You rock \m/
